My mother’s been all over the world, with lots of interesting stories to tell. This story is one of her favorites, about her honeymoon in Soviet era Vietnam. This record focuses particularly amusing moment during her visit of a Vietnamese zoo.

I loved this story because of the international flair. Your mother’s accent is adorable, but more important is her ability to pay attention to detail so that the account lets the listener feel a part of the experience. Another fact is how your mother enjoyed the event, I would have initially been terrified that the monkey could reach through the bars so quickly, but she never mentions fear. What a good-natured person she must be. Thank you for sharing.

This was a sweet story. I loved how your mother’s voice showed such warmth and humor. I feel like it tells me so much about how she must be as a person, and her descriptions make me visualize everything perfectly. What a nice interview!
